Privacy & security
Where your matter data goes, stated plainly, not buried in a policy.
Pleadwell is built for solicitors who can't afford ambiguity about client confidentiality. Every place your data can go is listed below. Nothing else happens to it.
The data flow
Four places, and only four.
The one line that matters
Restated here, word for word.
Practitioner note
Transcript text is sent to a US-based AI provider to generate your documents. This is the only point at which content leaves Australia.
You remain responsible for your client's consent and your own professional conduct obligations when recording a meeting. Pleadwell is a drafting aid, not legal advice.
How this is built
Designed in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Pleadwell has not yet been through a third-party privacy audit. Below is what's actually implemented, not a compliance badge.
Open and transparent handling
What we collect, why, and where it goes is on this page and in the privacy policy, in plain language, not just legal boilerplate.
Collection limited to purpose
Pleadwell only collects what's needed to generate your documents and run your account. No behavioural tracking, no ad identifiers.
No use for marketing
Matter content, transcripts and generated documents are never used to market to you or anyone else, and never sold.
Cross-border disclosure, disclosed
The one overseas transfer, transcript text to our AI provider for generation, is named on this page, not left to the fine print.
Data sovereignty
Matter records are hosted in Australia, Sydney region. That's where your file notes, emails and billing entries live.
Access and deletion
Delete your account from Settings at any time. Deletion purges your matter data from Pleadwell's records.
