Confidentiality & consent
No. Pleadwell's architecture (on-device audio, disclosed data flow) makes it possible to record and process a meeting responsibly, but obtaining your client's consent to be recorded is still yours to manage, the same as if you were taking notes by hand. Audio never leaves your device. Transcription happens locally. Transcript text (not audio) is sent to a US-based AI provider solely to generate your drafts. Matter records are stored in Australia, Sydney region. Full detail on the security page.
Matter records, file notes, emails, action items and billing entries are all stored in Australia, Sydney region. The one exception is the transcript text sent overseas at the moment of drafting, which is named plainly rather than left out.
Accuracy & using the drafts
Treat every draft as a starting point, not a finished document. Pleadwell is a drafting aid: it reads the transcript and produces a first pass at a file note, email, action list, and billing entry. You review, correct, and finalise before anything is filed or sent.
No. It's a draft. Once you've reviewed and, where needed, corrected it, it becomes your file note, the same as one you typed yourself. The responsibility for its accuracy and completeness sits with you.
Every draft is editable inline before export. Check names, dates and figures the way you'd check any first draft, transcription and generation are both capable of getting specifics wrong.
Account & data
Cancelling a subscription alone doesn't delete anything, you drop to the Free tier's limits and everything already in your account stays as it was. Deleting your account is a separate, explicit action in Settings, and that's what actually purges your matter data.
Yes, one account works across both. Matters and drafts stay in sync, so a matter started on your phone is there when you open the browser. See how it works for the platform-by-platform detail.
No. It's a drafting tool for the admin around a meeting: file notes, emails, action items and billing entries. Export to PDF or bring billing entries into LEAP, Actionstep or Smokeball as CSV if that's where your matters live.
